No apologies are necessary. Your diligence during the sickness is most sincerely appreciated.

I wished to speak of... ( how to phrase this ) a matter that I think is best handled with some discretion. I've no desire to make a scene of it and gather potentially negative attention. It is regarding some efforts to be made for the alienage, and perhaps Darktown.

I had hoped to begin an effort to bring more opportunities to those living in poverty in KIrkwall. Not simply bringing aid, but means to make long term differences and grant opportunities to those people.

( This is difficult. Asking for help is difficult, not because of pride, but because this is potentially risky, because this isn't her place on some level, because— )

I had hoped to offer a path to agency - reading and writing lessons, lessons to better equip them. Creating opportunities within the Inquisition for people from the alienage and Darktown to obtain apprenticeships, should they wish. It cannot detract from our duties.

That's something I'd wondered about myself--whether there was space for here for those in Kirkwall who need a chance to work and learn.

I'd be glad to assist however I might. I do understand the need to keep quiet about it--and not let it get in the way of our larger mission. [Though it's still a duty, but he's grown uncomfortably used to conflicts in those.]

I would sooner not risk stirring discussion of it within the Inquisition. If it should draw the wrong attention, there are those would act.. less than honourably, and wish to see it ended under the guise of it interrupting our work to save Thedas. I simply... wish to ensure the Thedas we save is one that is better.

And worse, those who'd spite it simply because they could.]

I'd like to say we're all striving for that, but as I'm learning, we've some parlous short-sighted individuals among us.
